A light-emitt in g diode is used for display illumination. The Auto Light feature illuminates the display when the watch is tilted towards the face.

Displays the current time in major cities and specific areas around the world. R : Current time in major cities around the world. 27 : Values indicate number of cities/areas.

Accurate measurement of elapsed time with the touch of a button. 1/100 : The fraction indicates the unit of measurement. 1 HR : The time figure indicates the maximum time measurement for Stop Watch.

Counts down from a start time specified by you. The value indicates the number of timers available. 60 MIN : The time figure indicates the maximum starting time. 'REPEAT' indicates Auto Repeat which automatically restarts timing at the end of each countdown.

The Daily Alarm sounds each day at the time you set. The value 5 indicates how many daily alarms are available. The hourly time signal causes the watch to beep every hour on the hour.

Each time you stop the alarm it sounds again after a few minutes.

Battery lasts for at least three years. 3 : The value indicates actual battery life in years.

Allowances are made automatically for months of different lengths including leap year.

Times can be displayed in either 12-hour or 24-hour format.

The 'BAR' value indicates the number of atmospheres to which water resistance is ensured. 20 BAR means water resistance to 20 atmospheres. Wearable around sinks during swimming poolside diving and scuba diving at depths not requiring helium gas.

A luminous coating provides long-term illumination in the dark after only short exposure to light.

The cushioning system of the watch also provide outstanding resistance to vibration. In the past vibration resistance was tested by fixing the watch to the axle of a motorcycle. Today a special test machine is used to subject the watch to vibration for 24 hours to check its ability to withstand such treatment.
